Dear APCChE Director,

At the APCChE 2015 Congress in Melbourne this September, Elsevier are sponsoring a new award called the Elsevier Woman in Chemical Engineering Award.

Elsevier recognises that the number of women PhD students who make the transition to an academic career is lower than it should be, and would like to encourage young women who are just starting out in their academic career.
This award aims to recognise and reward Asia Pacific's best and outstanding young academic women (within 5 years of PhD award) and includes a A$1500 award and a plaque.

Full details of application eligibility and evaluation criteria are presented in the document referenced below. Please note that the Award winner must attend the APCChE Congress in Melbourne:  http://www.apcche2015.org/

Please further distribute details of this Award to the appropriate Universities and Colleges in your country, noting that applications close on 31st July 2015.

Thank you and kind regards
