Konkuk University, Korea Assistant Professors KONKUK UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING Konkuk University is located in the center of Seoul, the capital of Korea (one of the biggest and most modern metropolitan cities in Asia) and has a long tradition of teaching and research excellence in the area of engineering and sciences in Korea. Department of Chemical Engineering at Konkuk University, invites applications for non-tenure track international faculty positions in area. We intend to make these appointments at the Assistant Professor level and the initial appointment will be for one year with the high possibility of the subsequent year renewal until 65 years old contingent upon performance. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in engineering and must be excellent in verbal and written communication in English. Responsibilities of these positions include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, interacting with a multi-disciplinary group of faculty in the engineering departments, and publishing in leading scholarly journals. The classes to teach are as follows: 1. Introductory Chemical Engineering, 2. Computational Methods in Chemical Engineering, 3. Chemical Process Design, 4. Energy Engineering. New faculty will be provided with a decent and contemporary apartment exclusively for international residence located in campus and fringe benefits (medical insurance, moving expenses, and social security benefits) as well. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with candidates’ potentials and experiences ($35,000 – $65,000 /yr).
