최근 화학공업에서 이용되어온 흡착제 및 촉매로서의 제올라이트의 응용을 소개한다. 기체 및 액체의 건조, 탄화수소의 분리와 정제를 그의 응용원리와 함께 강조하였다. 탄화수소의 접촉변환 즉 분해, 이성화, 개질, 수소-탈수소화, 알킬화, 수화-탈수등을 최근 연구 결과와 함께 소개한다.

Applications of zeolites as adsorbents and catalysts which have been developed recently in chemical industry are reviewed. Drying of gases and liquids, separation and purification of hydrocarbons are emphasized together with the application principles. Catalytic transformation of hydrocarbon such as cracking, isomerization, reforming, hydro-dehydrogenation, alkylation, oxydation and hydro-dehydration are also presented following up the recent research works.
