Abstract

화학공장이나 연구소에서 새로운 기술을 개발하거나 생산품의 품질을 관리 및 향상시키는 과정에서 통계의 제기법이 어떻게 이용되고 어떠한 기여를 할 수 있는가에 대하여 설명하였다. 통계의 화학공업적 응용을 크게 두 가지로 분류되는데, 하나는 실험계획법을 통한 응용이고, 또 하나는 자료분석을 통한 응용이다. 이 두가지 응용방법에 대하여 자세히 기술하고 마지막으로 실제적인 예를 들어서 통계가 화학공장에서 어떻게 응용되는가를 보이고 있다.
This article shows what contributions statistics can make for the development of new technology and the quality control and improvement of products in chemical plants or laboratories. The statistical applications in chemical industries can be divided into two parts ; one is through experimental designs and the other is through data analyses. These two applications are explained in detail and, lastly, a practical example is illustrated to show the applicability of statistics in a chemical plant.
