Abstract

K2CO3-KHCO3 완충용액에 NaOCl을 촉매로 첨가한 후 ionic strength를 일정하게 유지하기 위해 KCl을 넣고 CO2를 흡수시키는 일차반응을 수반하는 흡수계를 사용하여 구형과 입방체로 된 1/2, 3/8, 1/4크기의 poly-propylene 충전물에 대해 실험하고 Dankwerts’plot을 하여 volumetric mass transfer coefficient, kLa, 와 effective interfacial area, a,를 구한 후 Davidson의 idea를 기초로 하여 충전탑을 이론적으로 해석하고, 여러 가지 충전물에 대한 실험결과를 검토하여

dc = 12.6(at-1/2-10.8
이라는 식을 얻을 수 있었으며, 이 모식화식을 해석하여 kLa가 액체유속의 0.64승에 비례하여 형상인자가 total area만의 함수가 됨을 밝혔다.
CO2 was absorbed by water with first order chemical reaction in a packed column In the liquid phase K2CO3-KHCO3 was used as a buffer solution, adding KCl and NaOCl for constant ionic strength and catalytic effect, respectively. Sphere-and square-shaped polypropylene packing materials were used and volumetric mass transfer coefficient, kLa, and effective interfacial area, a, were determined from these experiments by using Dankwerts’plot. A semi-empirical equation was derived and compared with the experimental result of this work as well as other investigators. A good agreement was obtained between the data and the following modeling equations.
