황산암모늄에 의한 Kaolin의 황산화반응

Abstract

본 연구는 황산암모늄을 새로운 황산화제로서의 사용가능여부를 조사함과 아울러 kaolin으로부터 합성 Al2O3의 제조를 위해 kaolin과 황산암모늄의 반응을 조사하였다. 이 반응에서 적정반응조건은 kaolin에 대한 황산암모늄의 무게비 7.0, 반응온도 425 ℃, 반응시간 2시간, kaolin의 입도 -200 mesh였다. 이 조건하에서 kaolin 중의 Al2O3는 96.46 %가 NH4·Al(SO42로 전화되었으며, 이 황산화시킨 반응생성물을 물로 침출하고 암모니아수로 처리하여 얻은 합성 Al2O3는 분석결과 Al2O3의 함량이 96.77 %였다.
The reaction between kaolin and (NH42SO4 was experimentally investigated in order to fine the possibility of (NH4)2SO4 being an alternative sulfating source and to produce the synthetic Al2O3 from kaolin.
The optimum conditions for this reaction were (NH42SO4 weight ratio to kaolin 7.0, reaction temperature 425 ℃, reaction time 2 h and particle size of kaolin-200 mesh.
Under above mentioned conditions, the conversion of Al2O3 in kaolin to NH4Al(SO42 were 96.46 %.
The analysis of the synthetic Al2O3 left after the water leaching of sulfated product and treatment with ammonia water showed that the content of Al2O3 was 96.77 %.
