Abstract

Zig-Zag 형태의 분급기에서 분체의 분리에 대하여 검토하였는데 입자의 크기분포, 원료 입자 투입 속도 및 공기 유속이 분급기의 성능(performance)에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. Zig-Zag 공기 분급기는 4각 단면을 갖는 10단으로 구성되었으며 각 단들은 Zig-Zag Channel을 형성할 수 있도록 120o의 각도로 연결되었는데, Zig-Zag Channel을 통하여 미세 입자는 상승 기류와 더불어 상승하고 굵은 입자는 하강하도록 되어 있다. 본 연구의 실험결과 Zig-Zag 공기 분급기는 입자를 순도높게 연속적, 효율적으로 분리하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 나타났다.
Separation of particles were investigated in a Zig-Zag type air classifier, and the effects of particle size distribution, feeding rate and gas flow rate on the performance of air classifier were evaluated.
The Zig-Zag air classifier consisted of ten stages with a rectangular cross section connected to each other at a 120o angle to create a Zig-Zag channel, where finer particles carried upwards by the upflowing air stream and the coarse particles descended along the lower section walls. From the experimental results of this study, it was revealed favorable for the Zig-Zag air classifier to be employed for the separation of high quality particles continuously and efficiently.
