Abstract
Generalized 뉴톤 유체에 단섬유가 들어있는 복합계의 금형충전현상를 수치모사하기 위하여 planar channel 및 cylindrical tube를 대상으로 알고리듬을 개발하였으며, 수치모사 결과 자유표면이 시간에 따라 발달되어 가는 과정과 그 표면에서의 분수 유동현상을 잘 표시할 수 있었다. 또한, 뉴톤 유체 내에 포함되어 있는 단섬유의 분포와 배향(이차원 및 삼차원)을 Jeffery 식을 이용하여 계산한 결과 전단속도가 높은 벽면과 negative elongational 유동이 일어나고 있는 front를 따라서 평행하게 정열괴고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
A numerical algorithm to simulate the mold filling process of short fiber filled(generalized Newtonian) composite systems was developed in the case of planar channel and cylindrical tube geometries. The transient move-ment of the frontal free surface and the fountain flow phenomena could be well simulated for those geometries. the distribution and orientation of fibers in the Newtonian fluid medium during the filling process were also calculated solving the Jeffery’s eq’n, and the results showed that the fibers near the wall and the moving front allign parallel to those surfaces.
