Abstract
본 연구에서는 쿠엣트 응집기내에서 현탁 입자의 응집에 관한 실험적 결과와 이론적 모델식을 살펴보았다. 실리카 현탁액에서 양이온계 고분자 응집제를 사용하여 실리카 분말을 응집시킬 때 최적 조건을 찾기 위하여 응집에 현탁 입자와 응집제의 농도, 그리고 캠프 수(Gt)가 마치는 영향을 조사하였다. 응집물의 파열이 발생하지 않는 범위에서 응집 속도식을 유도하였으며 이는 실험값과 잘 일치하였다. 또한 최적 캠프 수가 9×104-1×105의 범위인 것으로 나타났다.
This study involves both experimental results and theoretical modeling on flocculation of sus-pended particles in a Couette flocculator. When fine silica particles suspended in water was flocculated by a cationic polymeric flocculant, effects of the suspension concentration, flocculant concentration, and Camp number(Gt) on flocculation were investigated in order to find the optimum condition. Based on the present experimental results, it is shown that the flocculation model which was drived under the assumption of no floc-breakage represents the experimental data very well. And the resulting, optimum Camp number is placed in the range of 9×104-1×105.
