Abstract
고정층 반응기의 충전층의 높이, 흡착제의 크기 및 Fe2O3의 첨가효과가 ZnO-5at.% Fe2O3 흡착제의 황화수소 제거능에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 충전층의 높이가 전체 반응기 높이의 1/5 이상일 경우 효율면에서 효과적이며 흡착제는 입자경이 클수록 비교적 좋은 황화수소 제거능을 나타냈다. Fe2O3의 첨가가 반응으로 인한 구조적 변화를 방지하는 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었으며 반응 후의 SEM 사진으로 이를 확인할 수 있었다. 아울러 반응으로 인한 구조적 변화 방지를 위해서는 불활성 물질을 물리적으로 혼합하는 것보다 Fe2O3를 첨가한 복합금속 산화물 흡착제가 좋은 효과를 나타내었다.
Effects of packing height of fixed-bed reactor, particle size of sorbent and Fe2O3 additive on the H2S removal efficiency of ZnO-5at.% Fe2O3 sorbent were investigated. Experimental results showed that the H2S removal effeciency was optimal when the packing height was above about one-fifth of the reactor height and that the larger particle size, the better the H2S removal efficiency. We found that Fe2O3 additives inhibited the structural change due to reaction and the SEM photographs supported this phenomenon. Further-more, the effect of mixing of inert material(quartz) to prevent the structural changes was studied. It was revealed that mixed metal oxide sorbent was better than ZnO mixed with inert material for the prevention of structural changes.
