Abstract
컴퓨터로 제어된 보통 타입의 Langmuir trough를 제작하였다. 테프론으로 가공된 통, 서보메카니즘을 이용한 유기물 압축장치와 기판 담금장치 그리고 상용저울을 개조한 표면압력 측정장치를 이용하여 제작된 장비는 0.025 mN/m의 정확도로 표현압력을 측정 및 제어할 수 있다. 제작된 장비는 공기/물 계면의 단일충에 대한 표면전위 측정 및 단일층의 기판으로의 이전시 접촉각의 측정과 같은 추가적인 실험이 가능하도록 고안되었다. 성능 시험을 위하여 Barium stearate에 대한 등온선 측정과 단일층의 이전 그리고 이전된 막에 대한 XRD 분석을 행하였다. 고체상태에서 표면압력 ’0’ 으로 외삽된 분자 하나가 차지하는 면적 값 20Å2과 단일층 이전시 선형적인 단일층 면적의 감소 그리고 두 층에 해당되는 두께 값 50.4Å으로부터 제작된 장비는 등온선 측정과 단일층 이전 연구에 적합함을 확인할 수 있었다.
A fully computer controlled normal type Langmuir trough was successfully constructed. The constructed Langmuir trough is consisted of a PTFE trough, servomechanisms for the barrier and the dipper and a commercial electronic balance modified for the surface pressure measurement. Surface pressure was measured and controlled with an accuracy of 0.025mN/m. It was successfully used for various supplementary experiments measuring surface potential of a monolayer at the air/water interface and contact angle during monolayer transfer onto a substrate. The trough was used for obtaining the surface pressure-area isotherm or barium stearate and transferring the floating monolayer of barium stearate. The bi-layer thickness of transferred Langmuir-Blodgett film was obtained from XRD. Extrapolated area of 20Å2 at zero surface pressure for solid phase occupied by a molecule, linear decrease of monolayer area during the transfer and the bi-layer thickness of 50.4Å demonstrate that the constructed Langmuir trough is suitable for the measuring the isotherm and the transferring the floating monolayers.
