Abstract
불균일상 지글라-나타 촉매에 의하여 프로필렌을 기상으로 중합할 때 중합열에 의한 발열로 야기되는 중합체 입자의 온도 상승 정도를 예측하였다. 폴리프로필렌 입자를 다중핵 모델[1-4]로 근사시키고 중합체 입자 내부의 프로필렌 농도를 일정하게 두었을 때 중합체 입자 내부의 온도는 빠른 속도로 상승하였다. Prepolymerizatin방법은 중합체 입자의 온도상승을 억제시키는데 효과적이었으며, 따라서 중합온도 상승에 따른 촉매의 입체 규칙성 제어 능력의 감소를 최소화할 수 있을 것으로 예측되었다.
Temperature rise in a polypropylene particle provoked by the heat of reaction during the gas phase polymerization of propylene over a heterogeneous catalyst was investigated. When the polypropylene particle was approximated to have multigrain morphology, and when mass transfer resistance of the monomer was assumed to be negligible, the temperature within the polymer particle was predicted to increase very sharply to bring about melting of the polymer. Prepolymerization was shown to be effective in reducing the temperature rise to minimize the loss of the stereoregularity controlling ability of the catalyst.
