Transition Velocity to Turbulent Fluidized Bed and Flow Regime

Abstract
기체 유동층(직경 0.1m, 높이 5.3m)에서 FCC 입자를 유동화시킬 때의 압력변동을 측정하여 기포 유동층에서 난류 유동층으로의 전이속도(Uc를 측정하였다. 또한 기상유속에 따른 고체 체류량 기울기의 변화로부터 전이속도를 결정하였다. 층 팽창을 이용하여 (Uc)를 예측할 수 있는 모델을 제시하였으며 이 모델에 의하여 예측된 값은 실험값과 잘 일치하였다. Archimedes number와 Reynolds number를 이용하여 유동층 내 각각의 영역을 예측할 수 있는 흐름 영역도를 제시하였다.
Transition velocity (Uc)from bubbling to turbulent fluidized bed has been determined by pressure fluctuation in a gas fluidized bed(0.1 m i.d. and 5.3 m high)of FCC particles with variation of gas velocity. Also, the transition velocity(Ucto turbulent fluidized bed is determined from the gradient variation of solid holdup with gas velocity. A model based on the bed expansion is proposed to predict Uc
