Abstract
마이크로스케일에서 유체를 다루는 마이크로플루이딕 시스템은 화학, 생물 분야에서 재료 분야에 이르기까지 널리 사용되고 있다. 이에 대한 이해를 돕기 위하여 마이크로플루이딕스의 유체역학적 특성을 살펴보고, 마이크로플루이딕 시스템에서 유체의 흐름을 제어하는 기본 소자 중 마이크로밸브와 마이크로펌프에 대하여 소개한다. 그리고 마이크로 플루이딕 시스템의 제작 기술과 전산모사를 위한 상용 소프트웨어를 검토하고, 마이크로플루이딕 시스템이 적용되는 분야를 간단히 소개한다.
Microfluidic systems for manipulating fluids in the micro scale are widely used in scientific areas ranging from chemistry, biology to material science. In this article, fluid mechanical characteristics of microfluidic system are examined and microvalves and micropumps for microfluidic systems are introduced. Then, methods for fabricating microfludic systems and the availability of commercial software for the simulation of microfluidic system are reviewed._x000D_
Examples of applications of microfluidc systems in various areas are shown briefly.
