Abstract
The angle-averaged 12-6-6 pair-potential energy function with temperature-dependent parameters, ε* and γ*, is applied to polar gas mixtures. The calculation is limited to binary mixtures of a polar and a nonpolar gassince there are no data available for polar-polar mixtures. With simple combining rules for unlike interaction the calculation of viscosity, diffusion, and thermal diffusion factor show very good agreements between experimental and calculated values, comparable to other models for polar or nonpolar molecules. The advantage of this model is that conventional 12-6 Lennard-Jones integral tables are used with the temperature-dependent parameters.
