The Investigation on the Elimination of Corrosive Carbon Dioxide in Water (I)
HWAHAK KONGHAK, March 1969, 7(1), 15-22(8), NONE
Abstract
This study was made for the purpose of obtaining stabilized equilibrium water with saturated calcium carbonate by removing the corrosive carbon dioxide from drinking and industrial water, of helping to lengthen the life of pipe line and other apparatus by using the equilibrium water.
The filter material was used of Calcite, Dolomite and Magnesia Clinker as an eliminating agent of the corrosive carbon dioxide. From reaction of various corrosive carbon dioxide samples with each filter material, the equilibrium filtration velocity was investigated. The reactivities of eliminating agents are increased in the following order; Magnesia Clinker, half-burned Dolomite and Calcite.
