Abstract

다단식 흡수탑의 단수를 연속변수로 취급하여 연속모델을 설정하였다. 이 경우에 비정상상태의 물질수지식은 차분-미분방정식계 대신에 단 하나의 편미분방정식으로 표현되며 그 해가 급수형으로 유도되는데 빨리 수렴하므로 실제 계산에 편리하게 이용될 수 있다. 따라서 종래의 불연속모델에 비하여 특히 단수가 많을 경우에는 연속모델이 장점을 갖게 된다. 6개의 단으로 구성되는 흡수탑을 예로 들어 정상상태 및 과도응답을 해석하고 연속모델과 불연속모델을 비교하여 연속모델의 유효성과 실용성을 입증하였다. 한편 연속모델을 이용하여 여러 경우에 대한 흡수탑의 동특성을 조사하였다.
A continuous model for a multistage absorption column is developed by considering the stage number as a continuous variable. Mathematical formulation of the unsteady state material balance gives rise to a single partial differential equation instead of a large system of difference-differential equations. Analytic solution is determined in a series form which converges very fast and thus the continuous model has merits in comparison to the discrete model especially when the number of stages becomes large. By using a numerical example for a six-stage absorber the two models are compared in terms of the steady state profiles and the dynamic response curves. The agreements turn out to be remarkable and thereby the continuous model proves itself to be valid and useful in describing the dynamic behavior of multistage absorption column. Application of the continuous model is further extended to study the various cases of dynamic behavior.
