Abstract

A theoretical model was proposed for the removal of fine particles by dispersed air flotation.
This model was divided into collision and diffusion region.
The results from the model were compared with those from experiments. Experiments were carried out using Cetylethyldemethyl Ammonium Bromide and suspension of α-Al2O3 in the batch system.
A mixed system composed of both region particles was well expressed by the model combining the collision and diffusion model.
