Abstract
The separation ofa binary system by a cyclic pressure swing technique using Molecular Sieves usually consists of four general steps. They are pressurization, adsorption, depressurization and purge steps. This work discusses a method of predicting the varying pressure steps theoretically when pure component isotherms and the knowledge of relative adsorptivity are available. The comparison of computer results using method of characteristics with the experimental data is presented.
